Meet Ethel…

Ethel is one of our most loved Seniors. She is diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and hearing impairment. Ethel has been with us since 1979 and has enjoyed every year here. After her mom passed in 1971, Ethel lived with many  relatives from Pennsylvania to Texas. She also lived in Ohio with her sister in Chesterland. When she finally found Metzenbaum, she knew she had found home. Living and working here has given her a sense of belonging and family. She lived in the Metzenbaum Residence for years before moving to one of our Supported Living homes. Now, she has lived in an apartment, with the help of caregivers, for the past 20 years.
