Each family enrolled in our program has access to a team of highly trained and well respected therapists, developmental specialists, and support personnel. We continue to expand our collaboration with specialists in local hospitals, medical clinics, and universities in order to provide our staff with the most current information, research, and training.
Our Early Intervention services are provided in a variety of settings throughout the county, private homes, day care centers, Metzenbaum school in Chesterland, and DDC Clinic for Special Needs children in Middlefield. Our early intervention services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and early childhood education in a year round program.
Movin’ With Music is a six-week session that involves musical experiences including singing, moving, and exploring instruments. Music is a powerful tool that helps to build a child’s attention span, learning turn taking and sharpening preschool readiness skills. It creates a bond between parent and child that is fun and creative! Movin’ With Music is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis to toddlers ages 18 months through two years and their parents.
Play, Learn, and Grow is an eight week session playgroup experience designed to provide opportunities for a toddler’s social growth and development. Activities focus on the developmental needs of all children, incorporating best practice concepts. All areas of development –cognitive, language, social, emotional, self-help, and motor-are integrated as the child interacts with the learning environment. This popular program is available to all children in Geauga County 18 months through 2 years and is also available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
