Residential
The Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, also known as the Metzenbaum Center, remains dedicated to providing comprehensive residential supports and services to eligible Geauga County individuals with developmental disabilities. Residential Services offers individuals access to safe and fulfilling residential living options.
Family Resource Services provides supports that enable individuals to live in their own homes or in the family home. Supports available through Family Resource Services may include covering costs associated with adaptive equipment, special dietary requirements, home modification, counseling, training, education and respite care.
Community Residential
Community Residential Services Administration: In addition to a 40 bed Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (I.C.F.M.R.), the Metzenbaum Center also supports more than 80 individuals living in small community settings.
ICF/MR
The Metzenbaum Residence is an Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (I.C.F.M.R) and is located on the Metzenbaum Center grounds. The ICFMR offers four housing units that accommodate 40 individuals who require greater assistance with daily care.
Maple Leaf Community Residences, Inc
Maple Leaf Community Residences, Inc.
is a non-profit Ohio corporation created for the sole purpose of providing and maintaining small houses for Geauga County individuals with developmental disabilities needing residential services in the community. It's Mission is "To provide quality, safe, affordable residential housing to persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities" in Geauga County, Ohio.
