LPDC
LPDC stands for the Local Professional Development Committee. The Committee consists of two Administrators Al Koterba, Director of Children Services, Anne Anderson Certification and Training Coordinator, and three Educators including Tracie Simon, Early Intervention Specialist, Barbra Glauser, Occupational Therapist, and Cyndy Sperrazzo, Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. The committee's purpose is to support educators with their professional development. The Ohio Department of Education issues licenses while the LPDC ensures all professional development is completed so Educators will be able to renew licenses. Educators submit plans of professional development to the LPDC for approval. The Educators are in charge of their own professional development by picking trainings, coursework, or projects, benefiting them most in their careers.
The committee meets once a month, our next meeting is May 18th, 2010 at 3:15 PM. After that meeting we break for the summer.
