Intermediate Care Facility

ICF

The Metzenbaum Residence is an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and is located on the Metzenbaum Center grounds. The ICF offers four housing units that accommodate 40 individuals who require greater assistance with daily care.

The ICF provides quality care as well as intensive medical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week in order to meet the specialized health needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Individuals residing at the ICF also benefit from active treatment programming. This programming provides each individual an opportunity to develop skills needed to move on to smaller, less restrictive community-based residential settings.
