ADULT SERVICES ADMINISTRATION

The Adult Services department had a holiday party for the individuals in the department.  Each group was responsible for baking cookies, decorating the Christmas tree and making an indoor snowman.

The individuals and staff from the workshop and enrichment programs presented a Holiday show which included singing, dancing and costumes.  The individuals and staff had been rehearsing for 2 months prior to their Holiday show.  All their practice was well worth it.  Each work group and enrichment group made decorations out of cylinder tubes.

Over break, 6 - 11 individuals from the ICFMR were able to continue to come the Adult Services Building for day programming.  Some Adult Services staff worked over the break days to provide services to these individuals.  Some individuals worked, others did various activities and others were able to go on community field trips.

ENRICHMENT/RETIREMENT

The Enrichment Rooms in the Adult Services Building received new dining room tables and chairs.  This furniture adds to the overall warmth of each room.

WORKSHOP GROUPS

The workshop has continued to work on Dillen product that has been brought to the workshop. The job consists of placing small garden pellets into a tray and inserting the tray into a cardboard sleeve.  The trays hold 10, 20 or 50 garden pellets.

The workshop has been working on a Cleveland Cavaliers job.  The Cavaliers sponsor a Read to Succeed program with Ohio school districts.  Hundreds of schools over Northeast Ohio participated in the program. We sent out approximately 40,000 red binders with spiral notebooks to the schools.

We also have continued working on our on-going contracts such as Sports Legs (nutritional supplements – vitamins) which were shipped to Colorado for a ski exhibition event, a mailing for the Chagrin Hearing Center as well as weigh counting material for Supply Technologies.

METZENBAUM SHELTERED INDUSTRIES
